Our specially arranged insurance coverage offers comprehensive protection against ALL RISKS, ensuring the full replacement value of your insured items. However, it’s important to note that certain items such as jewellery, cash, watches, stamps, deeds, and plasma televisions are not covered during your international move. We provide door-to-door marine insurance at a reasonable premium, starting from the moment we begin packing at your residence and remaining valid for ninety (90) days from the packing date. If your shipment requires storage at the origin or destination, we can arrange an insurance extension accordingly. In the event of any loss or damage, it should be reported in writing to Florette Movers or directly to the insurance company within 30 days from the delivery or unpacking date. It’s worth mentioning that our moving insurance claims have one of the lowest rates in the international moving industry.

Understanding Your Insurance Options

When it comes to insurance coverage, we offer two options: Full Replacement Value – Valued Inventory and Full Replacement Value – Lump Sum. The main difference lies in the way your items are declared and insured. With Full Replacement Value – Valued Inventory, you need to list each and every item you are moving and specify the replacement value of each item. Items not listed under this option will not be covered, so it’s crucial to provide a comprehensive inventory to ensure full insurance coverage for your shipment.

On the other hand, Full Replacement Value – Lump Sum insurance allows you to declare a lump sum amount that reflects the total coverage you desire for your shipment. Under this option, you only need to list items individually valued at $500 or higher. These listed items will be considered part of the declared lump sum, without additional calculations, as long as their total declared value does not exceed the total Replacement Value stated.
